The Arch-heretic of 1600 Penn. Avenue Strikes again

The sitting President of the United States of America made an unscheduled and highly secretive visit to Kyiv, Ukraine this past weekend; to announce that he was allocating an additional half a billion dollars of American Taxpayer money to aid the Ukrainians.  This is NEW spending, on top of the money that was previously agreed upon in the cursed "omnibus" spending package which the congress approved in December.  While there are many who may be truly sympathetic to the plight of innocent Ukrainian citizens in the ongoing war with Russia, it is worthwhile to point out that, for a country not actively engaged in a war ourselves; the United States seems to have quite a few lines in the water there in terms of spending: and by spending, I mean an international hemorrhage of taxpayer money.  The American people have been made to pay dearly for the war in Ukraine; a war for which we have no cause to be involved, and for which we have invested much and received naught but a pompou

Asbury Conundrum

For the past 2 weeks, an allegedly spontaneous and ongoing revival has been taking place in the chapel on Asbury University campus in Wilmore, Kentucky.  Many evangelical and conservative Christians applaud this event as a demonstration of the Holy Spirit moving in our time, while others question the intent of the entire event. To say the least, this revival is certainly a conundrum. As one who grew up and was sent to an (allegedly) evangelical Christian school, I myself am more than aware of the theatrical nature of evangelical revivals; having witnessed a number of them myself during my school days.  Such revivals are a time filled with preaching, singing, and heightened emotional states that encourage people to act out, supposedly in love of God.   However wonderful and spiritual it may seem though; I have also borne witness to the unfortunate reality of what happens when the singing is over, and life returns to its normal pace.   Those who hurl themselves at the "altar"

Open Letter to the Disney Company

Mr Iger, As one who has previously been a subscriber on Disney+ in the recent past for the purpose of enjoying many of the classic Disney Movies; I was deeply disturbed and indeed sickened to see the new revival of the older Disney cartoon “the Proud Family” pursuing a political ideology which is at best false, and at worst seditious and racist.  “Slaves built this country” as a rallying cry for people who claim the right to reparations for the sufferings of others?  By this singular 2 minute point in what is supposed to be a cartoon for children, the Disney corporation is actively encouraging children to hate and despise: their neighbors who may not be the same skin color as themselves, anyone who may be of a different social status than their own even if they are of the same skin color, any and all history which does not bow down and say that it was “all about slavery.” In the name of supposed equity, the Disney company is promoting a false ideology that says slaves did everything,
