Aliens, Demons, and Dim-witted Bishops

So recently the priest who has been serving the Archdiocese of Washington, DC as exorcist for years and built up a good sized ministry there; has been ordered to leave the archdiocese, due to comments he made on a podcast.

Did he criticize the Pope?   No.

Did he criticize the Cardinal of DC?  No.

Did he make some public denunciation of the church or its teachings?  No.

What he DID do, was dare to suggest that potential "extraterrestrial life" (I.E. UFO's) could be demonic activity.  Apparently, the Cardinal thinks it above the exorcist's pay grade to suggest that something that is not an absolute, could be the workings of demonic activity; although one would think that discerning what is demonic activity would rather be what the exorcist's job is, right?  I mean, scripture, tradition, and Christian history tell us that not only CAN demons manifest themselves as physical beings or disguise themselves as something else; they actually DO so with a surprising degree of frequency and talent.  I would remind the dim-witted Cardinal of DC of the story of St. Peter of Verona, who contended with a demon that had taken up residence in a church occupied by the Cathar heretics, in order to deceive them.   This false apparition appeared to the Cathars and taught them heresy after heresy, reinforcing their beliefs against the faith catholic; and even against the personage of the Blessed Virgin herself, which the demon had disguised itself as.   Peter (a Dominican friar) understood what was happening, and brought the blessed Sacrament with him to confront the demon; who fled in terror when the sacrament was exposed before him and Peter commanded him that if he were truly the Mother of Christ, to kneel down and pay respect to the true Body of Christ in the sacrament.

I would say that not only is it POSSIBLE that demons could be presenting themselves as beings from another world, it's actually quite PROBABLE.   Due to the increased obsession that humanity has with looking outside our own world for answers, rather than within and to God; it is quite probable that the devil would have his angels play into that in order to deceive mankind.   Stephen Spielberg's movie "Disclosure day" touches on the idea that the existence of aliens might be disastrous to Christian faith; so it strikes me as not unreasonable to hold a position that "aliens" are actually demonic entities.  I do not agree with Dr. Taylor Marshall in his statements that aliens are demons because of some absurd, alleged reference to the devil being called the "lord of the air" in the Bible; I make my own judgment of the matter based on logic and tradition, rather than absurd interpretations of scripture to create an apocalyptic scenario.   I support the good Monsignor and his work, and I say to the Cardinal of DC-  learn your church history before you make assumptions that an exorcist doesn't know what he's talking about.  Also, if I were the Cardinal, I would be more concerned about the abuse cases being covered up under my tenure than I would be with an exorcist trying to warn people to be cautious.
