Much Ado About Nothing; Geraldo Vault Flop 2.0

Since 2021, International media outlets have breathlessly reported on allegations that ground penetrating radar researchers had 'discovered' hundreds upon hundreds of unmarked, mass grave burials at several former residential schools in Canada.  Of course the first people to jump the gun and start demanding the church apologize for the purported discovery were the politicians, many of whom made teary-eyed trips to the sites so they could have photo-ops.  We heard for nearly 3 years about how this discovery was absolute, that it was absolute fact; the Bishop of Rome even addressed the situation as though it were absolute fact, and people began hounding the Archdiocese where the schools in question were located to 'do the right thing' and 'honor those lives'.   This year, the Diocese of Winnipeg, Manitoba began the process of trying to do just that.  And what has been the result of the vast amount of time, effort, and money that the diocese poured into an attempt to do so?  

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

There were no bones, nor remains of any kind, no textiles, no metal objects, NOTHING. 

For 3 years "science" boasted that its alleged finds were absolute, and yet: there is NOTHING there.  

Back In 1986, TV personality Geraldo Rivera hosted a live television event where they opened a vault that had belonged to the notorious mobster Al Capone.  Despite weeks of hyping up all of the things they were going to find inside that vault and garnering much media attention for it; when it was opened, there were only some old broken bottles inside.  Yet the difference between Geraldo's fate for his exaggerated reporting, and that of the media on these residential schools; could not be any more different.   Geraldo was a laughingstock, even to this day; and everyone knows how flatly he fell on his face with that.   Yet, the mainstream media has completely ignored the latest revelations that these "mass graves" are fictitious; apart from quietly amending former news articles to include the customary defense words of "alleged, claim" and "reported", in order to ensure they are not liable should the diocese seek legal reparation for the damage their reporting has caused the church.   That damage is real; numerous churches were torched as a result of these so-called "findings", and even the blasted fat-ass in Rome who calls himself 'holy father' threw the church in Canada under the bus at the mere suggestion these things happened.  

The residential school system in Canada was a partnership between the Canadian government and the church.  I will not argue or disagree with the KNOWN facts that there were abuses which occurred in many of those institutions; because they are facts.  What I will argue, is whether politicians and liberals should be allowed to defame and slander the church without worrying about the consequences of their lies.   Shame on the media, shame on the Canadian government, shame on those bleeding heart liberals who only care about their own "feelings" instead of truth; shame on that dictator Trudeau who claims to love democracy.
