Drag Queens, and the education of Children

Recently, there has been a lot of debate, and downright violence regarding transgender people and drag queens; especially regarding a new Law in Tennessee which prohibits the performance of 'drag shows' in public places with minors.   The alphabet mafia, which I refer to them as now because they keep adding letters to their collective acronym and scream bigotry if you forget one by accident; declare this law is bigoted and a violation of their rights.  But no one asks themselves- why was it felt necessary to even consider such a law?  The reality is that there has been an increase in the number of schools and public educators (as well as some perhaps well-intentioned albeit delusional parents) who have been exposing children under their care to drag shows and the drag community without informing the parents or others about what they're doing.  Beyond the nature of these shows themselves, which are often loaded with graphic language that describes sexual encounters and acts, as well as profanity and 'dancing' that can be best described as more suited for the bedroom than the stage; there is the simple fact of the relative sneakiness and underhanded-ness with which exposing kids to these themes has been carried out.   More than the shows themselves, which have always been a form of adult cabaret entertainment; the fact that the alphabet mafia and its rabid supporters think that they are entitled to make people's children witness this form of entertainment, is the root of the issue that such legislation has been based on.  Had the supporters simply kept drag as an "art form" that was not intended for children (as it has always previously been considered), I doubt we would find ourselves in the situation in which we are today.   However, the modern day alphabet mafia do have an agenda that no self-respecting member of the "community" would have even considered 20 years ago: the forced education of other people's children so that the alphabet mafia group can feel more comfortable exercising their fetishes and perversions in any setting without having to worry about filtering adult content because of children's presence.   Let me be perfectly clear about the nature of law and personal freedom:  You have every right to do what you like within your own home, and to assemble with others of similar mind to enjoy shared interests.   You do NOT, however, have any constitutional or God-Given right to force those who disagree with you and your manner of life to accept the same; nor to force them to make their children support you.   If you want people to stop claiming that the alphabet mafia has "an agenda" with people's kids, here's a novel idea...  Stop trying to target people's children in order to 'educate them to be more tolerant'.
